“Change for Change” took place on February 10th from 7–10 p.m. at Lakewood’s Local Girl Gallery (16106 Detroit Avenue). All funds raised at the event will go directly to the 2007 grantees of the Cleveland Colectivo.

Several artists from Northeast Ohio created and donated unique “Social Change Banks,” an idea that builds upon the simple "Piggy Bank" that many of us grew up with, when we would save our change for a year and at the end of the year, donate that money to an organization in our community. So, this is a variation on a theme; a "Social Change Bank" builds upon the idea of saving and donating money while truly emphasizing the mission of the Colectivo: Clevelanders coming together to strengthen our community through collective investments that identify and nurture innovative projects.
